If you’ve been dreaming during lockdown of escaping the madness of COVID-19 and finding peace and tranquility in the heart of the bush, then it’s time to make that dream a reality!
eKhaya Bush Villa is #tourismready and waiting to greet guests once more as tourism is allowed to open up to local travellers.
We are allowed to accommodate up to eight people here at eKhaya, making it the perfect place to gather with friends and family and spend quality time together here in the wonderful bushveld town of Hoedspruit – the gateway to the Greater Kruger that’s just a five hour drive from Johannesburg.
Not only are you escaping lockdown at eKhaya, but also the freezing winter temperatures of the Highveld! Our winters here in Hoedspruit are absolutely sublime, with average daily temperatures around 26 deg C! The nights are more chilly but are spent around a roaring log fire under a canopy of stars, listening to the sounds of the African night.
There’s lots to keep you occupied during your stay with the Kruger National Park open for day visitors making eKhaya the ideal base from which to do self-drive day trips around this legendary game reserve.
In addition, the 750ha Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate – home of eKhaya – has a wonderful and expansive wilderness area that’s home to a wide range of wildlife species like giraffe, zebra, impala, kudu, nyala and waterbuck, as well as leopard! There’s a good network of roads for self-drive game drives, as well as walking and cycling trails, giving you lots of alternatives for exploring and enjoying the bush.
In honour of being able to open up to guests once more we’ll be offering a fabulous “winter warmer” special, so feel free to get in touch to find out more and make a booking.
Rest assured that eKhaya is fully compliant with all COVID-19 protocols and can’t wait to welcome you once more to our little piece of paradise!
