Leading Safari Villa in Hoedspruit

It’s all about YOU. That’s what the team at eKhaya Bush Villa excels at, ensuring that you have the most memorable experience possible.

About

eKhaya Bush Villa is all about immersing yourself in the warm hospitality and traditions of one of South Africa’s most appealing safari destinations – the Limpopo lowveld and the Rainbow Nation’s safari capital of Hoedspruit

Your stay with us will be marked with welcoming smiles, exquisite comfort and total relaxation, whether in your luxurious suite, in conversation around our breakfast table or outside, taking in the sights and sounds of the bush while you bathe in the African sunlight next to the pool, watching the wildlife walk by.

Our small team of staff have been recruited from our local community and are on hand to make your stay with us truly special, attending to your every need and acting as your personal guides to this wonderfully diverse region of South Africa.

The Suites

eKhaya Bush Villa is the epitome of understated luxury, with echoes of that bygone era when the journey (or “safari” in the Swahili vernacular) was as important as the destination… The blend of colonial and traditional African styles has inspired a wonderfully interwoven decor palette which offsets the beautiful scenery around the villa.

Warm earth tones and neutrals are accented with pops of rich colour and bright patterns, evoking the spirit of the wilderness in every room, from the welcoming lounge to the expansive deck overlooking the pool and the endless bush which surrounds eKhaya.

This style is nowhere more seductive than in the villa’s six beautifully appointed air-conditioned rooms. With four Luxury Suites and two Premier Luxury Suite (ideal for honeymoons), eKhaya has been custom-designed to ensure comfort and luxury in the bush.

Dining

Our breakfasts are legendary. Taken at a leisurely, unhurried pace, we go the extra mile to ensure that we source the best fresh and organic ingredients for our lovingly prepared and home-cooked fare.

We are also proud to cater for vegetarian and vegan diets as well as devotees of Banting! We are able to provide both Kosher and Halal options and can accommodate gluten and sugar-free requirements as well.

Although eKhaya Bush Villa operates on a bed and breakfast basis, we are able to include lunches and dinners on request.

Hand woven textiles and colourful soft furnishings are inspired by the culture of the area and the Shangaan people.

Natural, organic materials like local wood and stone, as well as hand carved artefacts keep the lodge grounded in its surroundings, bringing the outside inside, creating synergy between the lodge and its wild environment.

Each of our six double rooms have been beautifully decorated using textiles, furnishings, artefacts and fittings sourced sustainably from around South and Southern Africa, supporting local artists, artisans and entrepreneurs where possible.

Our villa itself has been designed to have as low an impact on our fragile environment as we can manage, with energy and water saving our priority.
